Chromebook Program for 2025

We are delighted to be able to provide details of our Chromebook program for your child in readiness for the start of 2025. This is applicable to all John Henry Primary School students in Years 4, 5 and 6 in 2024 that do not yet have Edunet procured devices.

Our School Council has once again partnered with Edunet to implement this program, and towards the bottom of this page, you will find some useful information from them to assist you in your decision-making.

 

A reminder that we do not offer a BYOD (bring your own device) program and students will only be able to use devices purchased from our School Council approved technology partner.

INSURANCE

Please note that unlike previous years, insurance is not offered as part of this package. The Asus 3 Year Onsite Warranty + Battery + Repair Service does cover accidental damage, which is part of your Chromebook package. If you have concerns about the device being lost or stolen you will need to make your own arrangements as neither John Henry Primary School nor the Department of Education and Training Victoria offer any insurance for personal property. Please see the necessary policies later on this page and on the Edunet portal for additional details

Important Dates

Thursday 28th November 2024 –

All orders placed before this date will be delivered to the home of the student before Christmas 2024. (All orders must be signed for when delivered)

Sunday 5th January 2025 –

All orders placed before this date (but after the initial order cut-off) will have the devices ready to go in time for Day 1 of the 2025 school year.

For all orders placed after this date, devices will be delivered as soon as possible but they may not be ready in time for the start of the 2025 school year.

 

* Please note that delivery dates are subject to specific device availability and any differences to these dates are clearly identified on the portal at the time of ordering.

Payment Information

At the checkout stage you will have 3 payment options, Zip, Card, or Bank Transfer. If you choose the Zip option you will be subject to any additional charges that they may impose. For the Card payment option, Edunet charge an additional percentage on top of your order cost as a processing fee. For the Bank Transfer option you will be able to place the order without paying and will then receive payment instructions. If payment is not made within the required timeframe your order will not be processed by Edunet.
 

Should you wish to discuss a payment plan, our Business Manager, Robert Newell, would be pleased to discuss this with you. This would work by way of a charge being placed in to your Compass Payment Centre. You will then be able to go in to that and make payments against it on a schedule that works for you. Please note that no devices can be ordered until payment has been made in its entirety.
